I understand the spectrometer visuals, and I've got a pretty good grasp of the concepts behind the way all the other visuals are mapped to the waveform. But I don't understand the visuals labeled "Event View". What are they mapping?

I'm about to wildly hypothesise here, so don't expect this to be accurate.

I haven't sat and stared at the event view visuals for very long, but my initial impression was that they are something like the derivative with respect to time of the spectrometer visuals, with of course some niceties like a gradual decay, and no negative values.

What do you reckon?

Richard.

Correct,

The event viewers effectively monitor the rate of change of each frequency range with respect to time.
